GALLERY: riders celebrate Cluzel’s WorldSSP career with emotional celebrations

French rider Cluzel announced his retirement from racing at the end of this season and went out in style after a four-way battle

As the curtain came down on the 2022 FIM Supersport World Championship campaign, it also came down on the career of Jules Cluzel (GMT94 Yamaha) after he announced his decision to retire from racing at the end of the season. After ten seasons in WorldSSP, and one in WorldSBK, the French rider’s career came to an end at the iconic Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit following Race 2 for the Grand Ridge Brewery Australian Round with an 11th place finish after a four-way battle. After the race, riders from the WorldSSP grid joined him in a burnout while WorldSBK rider Loris Baz (Bonovo Action BMW) joined him for a quick game of cards on the track.
