In what has been a terribly unfortunate start to the season for Leon Camier (Moriwaki Althea Honda Team), yet another injury was picked up from no fault of his own after a crash on Saturday morning during the Tissot Superpole session. The 32-year-old was following Sandro Cortese (GRT Yamaha WorldSBK) when the German crashed, leaving Camier nowhere to go.

With this latest setback, it is clear that Leon has no broken bones but ligament damage in his shoulder forced him to miss the races at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit.

This latest injury comes just weeks after the British rider sustained a knee injury after a crash in Buriram, of which he avoided surgery.

With Leon Camier missing the Imola races, attention now turns to whether or not he will be back out at Jerez.
