The Frenchman is confident on his chances to stay with BMW Motorrad Italia in WSBK.

Two time Superstock 1000 title winner Sylvain Barrier had a tough rookie year in the eni FIM Superbike World Championship as he was forced to sit out the majority of the season due to two very different types of crashes, both occurred in the first part of the year. The young Frenchman managed to come back even stronger to finally show some good speed and consistency in the latter part of the year.

“The past is the past, what happened to me this year has helped me growing much more and I’m now looking forward to next year knowing we can do a really good job. It has been so far a long and fruitful relationship with BMW, we haven’t signed anything yet but we’re in talks at the moment. I’m sure everything will be fine for next year. We have been working together for the last four seasons and the synergy is perfect now, they understand me perfectly even when I don’t say a word and we get along really, really well.”

Despite not having signed a contract with BMW Motorrad Italia for next year yet, Barrier is very confident on his chances to continue his partnership with the Italian squad in 2015 and he is looking forward to the challenge represented by the new technical rules: “I’m looking forward to next year and with the new rules, I think the level of the field will be much more balanced, meaning the rider will be able to make the difference. I can’t wait to get back on track, if we manage to sign the contract before November 25-27, we will be testing at Jerez along with the other WSBK teams.”
