Terol back in action at Donington

Spanish rider returns after Assen crash.

Nico Terol will be back on the eni FIM Superbike World Championship grid at Donington Park this weekend, having missed one round through injury.

The Althea Racing rider was on the sidelines for Imola, having crashed in the eighth race of the season at Assen three weeks earlier. This resulted in a wrist injury, although no surgery has been required for the 125cc World Champion of 2011.

“I’m impatient for Donington Park to come, after the accident in Holland,” Terol says on Tuesday. “I’ve finished my rehabilitation and am continuing to gain strength in my wrist; I feel quite good. To stop for a month and miss the team’s home round was hard, but the only important thing was to try to get back in shape as soon as possible.

“I can’t wait to get back on my Ducati and, above all, see my team; they’ve all been really supportive over these last weeks.”

Terol knows the Donington Park circuit well, having competed there in his Grand Prix racing days. His best result was fourth place in the 125 race of 2009.
