NEW STANDARD SCHEDULE: Portimao’s comprehensive timetable

    It’s all set for a full weekend of racing action as the entire MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship paddock arrives at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve. The Pirelli Portuguese Round brings with it a debut for the all-new World Sportbike category, as well as a season debut for WorldWCR. Featuring in their second round of the season, the World Superbike field will participate as well in their Round 2. The weekend gets rolling on Friday, March 27th, with WorldWCR’s Free Practice at 9:00 (Local Time UTC +0), followed by WorldSPB’s Free Practice at 09:40, WorldSBK’s FP1 at 10:20, and WorldSSP’s Free Practice at 11:20. The order remains the same in the afternoon as WorldWCR hosts their Tissot Superpole session at 13:30, WorldSPB does the same at 14:10, WorldSBK holds their FP2 at 15:00, and WorldSSP sets their Saturday grid at 16:00 to close the day.

    Action gets rolling on Saturday March 28th with WorldWCR’s Warm Up at 09:00. At 9:40, WorldSBK returns for their FP3, and later returns to the track as they will set their grid in the Tissot Superpole session at 11:15 before a quadruple-header of Race 1 action starting with WorldWCR at 12:00, WorldSPB at 13:00, WorldSSP at 14:00, and WorldSBK at 15:30. On Sunday, March 29th in Portugal, clocks are turned forward one hour, changing the local time to UTC +1. The final day of track action begins with WorldWCR’s Warm Up at 8:55, before WorldSBK’s Tissot Superpole Race sees lights out at 11:10.  WorldWCR’s launches the midday’s races with Race 2 at 12:00, WorldSPB’s Race 2 at 13:00, and WorldSSP’s Race 2 at 14:00. Closing out the round, WorldSBK’s Race 2 is set for 15:30.
