The Japanese rider stood on for Dixon in Hungary and he will do so again in Czechia as the Brit continues his recovery

Yuki Kunii will continue to stand in for Jake Dixon at Honda HRC in the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship. The Japanese rider replaced the #96 last time out at the Balaton Park Circuit and that will continue at the Autodrom Most when WorldSBK visits for the 2026 Czech Round. Kunii finished all three races in Honda although narrowly missed out on points in Race 2 as he finished in 16th, directly behind teammate Somkiat Chantra. He will continue to ride the CBR1000RR-R machine in Czechia alongside the Thai rider while Dixon focuses on returning to full fitness.

A full statement from Honda HRC said: “Japanese rider Yuki Kunii, who stood in for Honda HRC rider Jake Dixon at the latest round in Hungary, will again serve as substitute during the upcoming Czech round at Autodrom Most (15-17 May). Dixon continues to work hard on his recovery programme following injury sustained earlier this season. While the healing process is progressing very well, the British rider is not yet ready to return to action and will therefore sit out the Most round as he focuses on returning to full fitness.”
