Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) had been leading from the front all race throughout Race 2 but a rare mistake by the five-time Champion allowed MotorLand Aragon specialist Chaz Davies (ARUBA.IT Racing – Ducati) to close in and pass Rea into Turn 1.
What followed was a terrific battle between two rivals as the pair battled it out for victory in the closing stages of the 18-lap race; both looking to claim a memorable victory in Race 2.
