Swiss rider struggling to find that extra pace to fight for the lead

Randy Krummenacher (BARDHAL Evans Bros. WorldSSP Team) continued on his run of top five finishes in the FIM Supersport World Championship this season, as the Swiss rider continues to feel disappointed with his pace with his Yamaha machine.

Starting the season with spectacular pace, Krummenacher has missed out on a podium finish now in the last five rounds, despite having the pace throughout the weekend, and qualifying well. Starting from the front row of the grid, it seemed the Swiss rider had secured a strong pace around Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. However, he struggled to keep up with the fight for the podium spots throughout the 19 laps.

Explaining his pace, Krummenacher begins: “It was a difficult race, I am not so happy with today, and actually the last few races have been a bit difficult for me. I improved my performance in Superpole, but I am a bit slower in the race and now we have to analyze why. We have to do a test in the summer break and most importantly, we have to improve.”

Keeping positive about his championship chances however, he is not to be deterred, knowing he has a lot to work on throughout the 10 week summer break: “The championship is good, I am in third with a big gap to fourth position, so that ok. My goal is to improve and to come closer to Sandro at the top, so we really need to work hard now. We have to work hard in the engine and suspension, we have to improve both and find a better feeling in the front and find a bit of extra power.”
