The American rider happy to race in the Supersport World Championship.

PJ Jacobsen had a bittersweet season opener at Phillip Island, in his first weekend as full time WSS rider. The 20 year old from Montgomery, New York, was consistently quick in free practice and then qualified 5th on the grid for the race. Come Sunday Jacobsen had a great first start and was running in the top 4, before a technical problem ruled him out of the battle for the podium, just moments before the race was interrupted. Despite the DNF, Jacobsen is over the moon about being part of the Intermoto Ponyexpres team and he is looking forward to the next round, knowing he has the right people around him:

"I just wanted to make that next step up" said PJ Jacobsen "and I finally made it here. I'm looking forward to this year with Intermoto Ponyexpres Kawasaki and I think it's going to be a great season. These guys have been great to me, they're a good group of guys. I have Andrew Pitt as crew chief, he knows about diets, training and so on. He will keep me physically and mentally prepared for the races."

Jacobsen has a clear idea about his goals for the season and where he wants to be in 2015: "I think they are expecting a lot from me, but it's my first year here and they know that. I think, realistically a top 10 finish in the championship would be fantastic for me and then move on to a second year. With these guys it would be really great."
