The British rider was third in his home race at Donington.

Scotsman Kev Coghlan (DMC-Panavto Yamaha) was back on the podium in yesterday’s WSS race at Donington Park. The former CEV Supersport champion was third at the line behind winner Michael van der Mark (Pata Honda World Supersport) and Jules Cluzel (MV Agusta RC – Yakhnich Motorsport).

“I’m glad to be back on the podium here at home” said Coghlan. “It wasn’t easy, I led the race at sort of midway through but Michael (van der Mark) and Jules (Cluzel) had a bit more pace and I was struggling a bit with the rear end grip. In the last laps I was just hanging on to that podium while Sofuoglu was coming back strong.”

Speaking of the next round at Sepang, Coghlan added: “It looks like a good place. Never rode there before but usually that kind of track suits my style.”
