Badovini starting season over again

After a difficult start to the season, Ayrton Badovini (BMW Motorrad Italia GoldBet SBK Team) has upped the ante in the two recent rounds at Misano and MotorLand Aragón, and is once again back at the form expected from him by the team at the start of the year. A fifth place in race 2 on the Italian track and an encouraging performance in race 1 at Alcañiz, which unfortunately concluded with a crash on the last lap while he was fighting for third with Tom Sykes, have in fact been a boost to the Italian.
"In the first part of the season - admitted Badovini - we worked to find a standard level of performance that was at least in line with that of the second half of 2011, but some bad luck and difficulty in getting the right set-up, meant we were unable to do so. From Misano onwards however we've taken a new direction in set-up and have managed to find a balance that has enabled me to make a good step forward in terms of performance".
With six rounds still remaining this year Ayrton's aim is to tackle them head on, knowing that a good opportunity will come right away with the next round at Brno on 22 July. "In the last couple of rounds we've been fighting up at the front and when this happens even the way in which you face up to the challenges ahead change, and now we can have an attacking approach to the weekend. Last season I went well at Brno, a track I like a lot, and I'm sure that the bike will go well there, seeing as the engine has improved a lot on this new version of the S 1000 RR".
