• With his eighth pole, Carlos Checa reached Giancarlo Falappa, Scott Russell and Aaron Slight in the tenth all-time spot;

• 53rd front row start for Noriyuki Haga, who reached Aaron Slight in the fourth all-time spot. With his next front row start, Nori will equal Troy Bayliss;

• Eighth career win for Jonathan Rea, who equalled Anthony Gobert and double world champion Fred Merkel in the 23rd all-time spot;

• With his win in race two, his seventeenth overall, Carlos Checa equalled Pierfrancesco Chili in the eighth all-time spot. Checa also equalled Xaus and Laconi as the most successful rider at Imola, taking his third win at the Santerno track;

• The all-time recordman for podiums in Imola is now Noriyuki Haga, with seven: he has always been on the podium in his last six races here;

• Despite not fielding a factory team this year, Ducati has already scored twelve wins, compared to six in 2010;

• Best career result for Mark Aitchison, ninth in race two, for the first time inside the top-10;

• It was not a good weekend for Melandri: for the first time since the Miller round, Marco wasn't able to step onto the podium at least in one of the two races. He was also eliminated from the third Superpole session for the second time after Donington;

• In the Supersport class, veteran Fabien Foret equalled Sébastien Charpentier in the second all-time spot at thirteen wins. At the top of the list is Kenan Sofuoglu with seventeen. The last win by Foret before this one was the Brno race, two years ago. At 38 years, 7 months and 27 days, Fabien is the second oldest winner behind Kevin Curtain, who won at Brno 2006, at 40 years 2 months and 1 day;

• In the Superstock 1000 class, for the first time in seventeen straight races, a BMW wasn't able to finish on the podium. BMW shares the longest all-time sequence with Yamaha, who recorded it from Valencia 2004 to Lausitzring 2005. BMW however did equal another all-time record, shared also with Yamaha: eighteen straight front row appearances for the German manufacturer;

• 40th pole for Yamaha in Superstock 600. The Japanese manufacturer is by far the fastest in qualifying in the championship history: second comes Honda at 13 and third Ducati with 6.
