Torres and De Rosa look forward to Misano

Heading into the team’s home round, Jordi Torres (Althea BMW Racing Team) and Rafaelle De Rosa (Althea BMW Racing Team) are keen to start racing in front of the passionate Italian fans, and following some hard work put in over recent weeks they are looking forward to getting out on track.

Italian Raffaele De Rosa (Althea BMW Racing Team) has set himself a simple goal - expressing his full potential on board his S 1000 RR, following some intense training over recent weeks. Securing his first top ten finish of the season in the last round at Donington Park, he is making steady progress on his BMW. With a second position secured in STK1000 around Misano back in 2015, its clear De Rosa has a strong understanding of the Rimini circuit.

De Rosa explains his excitement ahead of his home race: “I'm excited and can’t wait to start the Misano weekend that, as well as being our home race, is a little different to the tracks we’ve visited recently. I’ve really been training hard over the last weeks and am keen to get out on track. I want to thank the team as the guys are giving me all they can, to allow me to express my full potential.”

Jordi Torres (Althea BMW Racing Team) continues on his challenge to make up that gap to the podium, which the Spaniard is hopeful of doing in Rimini. With a strong performance last time out around Misano, he will hope to replicate this weekend and at a circuit which favours his BMW machine, the confidence is high for the 29 year old.

"Last year we had a good weekend at Misano,” begins Torres. “I hope to repeat, or rather improve on that performance in front of the passionate Italian crowds. The track suits our BMW well and our aim is to work well right from Friday, also assisted by the good weather that we usually enjoy at Misano in June. I’m pumped up and looking forward to getting back on track…”
