Two days of Testing for the Schmidt Racing Team at the Pannonia-Ring

Terol and Chrobak make progress in Hungary.

The Schmidt Racing Team, which will participate in WorldSSP this season with riders Nico Terol and Janos Chrobak, recently completed two test days at the Pannonia-Ring circuit in Hungary.
After a three day test at Cartagena in late January, Terol and Chrobak got back on track to continue set-up work on their MV Agusta F3 675 bikes; final preparations ahead of the official test and opening round of the season that will take place in late February at Phillip Island.

Unfortunately, weather conditions at the Pannonia-Ring were far from favourable and as well as low temperatures, the team was also hindered by the rain.
The tests were nevertheless useful in that they allowed Terol and Chrobak to get to grips with the controls of their respective bikes and begin the set-up work that will continue in Australia during the final pre-season test.

“In both Cartagena and here in Hungary the weather has been against us,” commented Nico Terol, “but I was nevertheless able to get to know my new team and ride my MV Agusta F3 675. I really like the team, which is composed of competent and passionate people and so I’m sure we’ll do a great job together. There are still a lot of things to sort out with the bike and we’ll do that at Phillip Island during the two test days that precede the first round of the championship. We have everything we need to do well and so it’s just a question of time. I’m sure the results will come.”

During his trip to Hungary, 125 Champion Nico Terol joined fellow World Champion Gabor Talmacsi to present prizes to the young riders competing in the Slovakian and Hungarian minibike and NSR Honda Trophy championships.

The Schmidt Racing team is now working to prepare the bikes and spare parts for transportation to Australia, where further testing will take place on before the new Superpole qualifying format prepares the 2016 WorldSSP grid for the first lights out of the season.
