Baiocco & Haslam impress off-track ahead of Sepang showdown.

Ahead of the 10th round of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship a selection of riders were taken to the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation in Kuala Lumpur, a must-see attraction of the region, situated in the Malaysian capital.

8 riders were invited to the event that saw them creating their own Malaysian style arts and crafts under the guidance of a local craftsperson inside the Craft Village.

Before beginning their own piece of art, Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team), Chaz Davies (Aruba.it Racing – Ducati SBK Team), Leon Haslam (Aprilia Racing Team – Red Devils), Alex Lowes (Voltcom Crescent Suzuki), Ayrton Badovini (BMW Motorrad Italia), Leon Camier (MV Agusta Reparto Corse), Matteo Baiocco (Althea Racing) and Leandro Mercado (Barni Racing) were given a masterclass in batik painting, wood carving and pottery at the one stop arts venue, renowned for showcasing the unique tradition and aesthetics of the diverse range of handicrafts produced there.

The WorldSBK riders were all keen to impress but it was Matteo Baiocco who was the first to finish his painting, impressing the instructor with his precision while Leon Haslam excelled at the pottery wheel.

#SepangWorldSBK on track action begins tomorrow with World Supersport Free Practice at 9am local time, with the first session for World Superbike taking place an hour later.
