Both May and Yates hoping to make a big step forward.

Team Hero EBR and its rider duo of Geoff May and Aaron Yates are continuing their learning curve within the eni FIM Superbike World Championship. Both riders endured a difficult round at Imola, with only May able to finish one race, crossing the line 18th at the end of the second and final encounter of the day.

Geoff May:  ”I am sorry I didn’t have the chance to ride in Race 1 because my intent is collect much data as possible in order to develop the bike alongside my mechanics. In race 2 we completed the race and I improved the feeling with the bike. Now I want focus on the next race in Donington, where I’m sure we will continue to make some further  improvement.”

Aaron Yates: “I really enjoyed racing here and Imola is definitely now one of my favourite race tracks. Unfortunately we had some troubles today and I am sorry that we can’t finish the races. Anyway, we made some progress during the weekend and I am sure we will soon be more competitive.”

Following the racing weekend, the team took part in the one day official test at Imola last Monday, with May able to complete 29 laps, gathering  some useful data for the upcoming rounds.
