The Italian rider is now looking to secure a ride in the series or return to STK1000.

Alessandro Andreozzi had his debut season this year in the eni FIM Superbike World Championship, which turned to be a challenging one for the young Italian rider. The 23 year old from Macerata had his ups and downs racing the EVO-spec version of the ZX-10R fielded by the Pedercini Team, finishing with a best result of 9th in race two at Laguna Seca but also with too many crashes along the way.

“Overall it was a good year,” said Alessandro Andreozzi. “I struggled a little bit at the beginning as I had to find the right feeling with the bike and to make it suit my riding style. In the end, I think we made big steps forward in the middle part of the season and we got some good results. Surely I lacked of experience and this lead me to many mistakes and crashes. It was a year of ups and downs, with race two at Aragon being the most difficult moment and the 9th place in Laguna the happiest. I’m looking forward now to finding a competitive ride for next year, I’m in talks with many teams in both STK1000 and WorldSBK.”
