Yuki Okamoto made his World Supersport debut in the 2025 season, making the transition from Japanese Superbikes 1000 as at the time he was the defending champion. Okamoto’s JSB 1000 win last year increased Yamaha’s streak in the competition to eight championships in a row, beating out his teammate Kastuyuki Nakasuga for the title. Okamoto raced alongside eventual Champion Stefano Manzi as a part of Pata Yamaha Ten Kate Racing, however injuries plagued his campaign. Now riding alongside Manzi’s title rival Can Oncu, Okamoto looks to sink his teeth into WorldSSP in earnest now in 2026.
