Simone Corsi made three wildcard appearances in WorldSSP in 2023 and returns with Renzi Corse for a full campaign. A pair of sixth place finishes came at Misano as the highlight, with the Italian scoring points in five of his six races. Corsi has a whole heap of experience to bring to the paddock, after racing in the 125cc World Championship between 2002 and 2004, and again between 2006 and 2009, as well as the 250cc World Championship in 2005. After his second stint in 125cc, Corsi moved to Moto2™ for 12 seasons, taking nine podiums with 21 scored in his time in all three World Championships.
