Spanish teenager Roberto Garcia made his WorldSSP debut in 2025, following a reshuffle of riders within Yamaha. With Michael Rinaldi moving back to WorldSBK, Garcia takes his place at GMT94 Yamaha on the R9 machine, riding alongside Lucas Mahias. Garcia raced as well within the JuniorGP paddock and was the Moto2 European Champion in 2024 – bringing great pedigree to a team who have the 2017 WorldSSP Champion in their ranks as well. Garcia wasted little time in 2025 to make a name for himself in the Championship, he finished P6 in his second race in the category, later improving to back-to-back P5s and a P4 later on in the season at Estoril Race 2. Now entering what will be his first season as a full-time rider in WorldSSP, Garcia will be riding with a knife between his teeth to continue to show his calibre.
