A title contender in his first season in WorldSSP in 2022, Lorenzo Baldassarri returns to the Championship after a difficult season in WorldSBK. ‘Balda’ took four wins and 16 podiums on his way to second in World Supersport in 2022 before earning a shot at WorldSBK with GMT94 Yamaha. The Italian found himself without a ride in World Superbike for 2024 but opted to return to WorldSSP, linking up with Orelac Racing VerdNatura on the Panigale V2 as he hopes for a title charge. Before his time in the WorldSBK paddock, the Italian spent time in both Moto3™ and Moto2™, winning five races in the latter.
