Taking advantage of slipstream on approach to the line, the youngster propelled himself into the lead to round the year off in perfect style ahead of podium finishers Di Persio and Turner.

It was a really difficult race in a close leading group, but the race played into our hands on the final lap. At the moment, I don’t have any words to describe how I’m feeling. I just want to say a big thank you to my team, Yamaha AD78 FIM Latinoamerica for all of their work this weekend and throughout the season, and thanks to my family for their support too – this is an incredible feeling.”
