The final day of the WorldSBK career has arrived as the field takes to the track on Sunday morning

It all comes down to today. The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship rolled onto the tarmac at the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto, Andalucia, for their final day of race action in 2025. The Pirelli Spanish Round will bring with it not only a thrilling conclusion to the title battle between Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) and Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati), but it will also be the final day featuring Razgatlioglu and six-time World Champion Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha) as full-time riders.

RAZGATLIOGLU HITS THE MARK: Tops the timesheet by 0.179s

For the first time this weekend, ‘El Turco’ has topped the timesheets at a session’s close. This is a good omen for his title hopes as the Tissot Superpole Race holds his net chance to clinch the World Championship if he can finish seventh or better. His 1’38.691s time outpaced Alex Lowes (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) in P2 by a shade under two tenths. Outpacing his factory Ducati teammate for one of the first times in a session this season, Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) came in P3, just 0.018s slower than the Bimota rider

BULEGA P5: The Italian clocked in as the third-fastest Ducati

Andrea Iannone (Team Pata Go Eleven) finished with the fourth-fastest time of 1’38.933s, 0.139s faster than Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati), who will need to see his Turkish title rival finish below P7 if he wants to push the title decider back to Sunday afternoon’s Race 2. Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC) earned P6 as he and his factory Honda squad look to land a podium before parting ways as he is set to ride atop Yamaha machinery in 2026.

GERLOFF UP INTO TOP 8: The American lands his best placement of the weekend

Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) may have found something as he improves his previous best finish of the round from his FP1 P11 to a P7 finish on Sunday morning. Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) was next up, outpacing his teammate Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha) by just 0.023s as the Ulsterman laid down a 1’39.535s time and is hoping to find a spark to send his gilded WorldSBK career out on a high note.
