The Italian brand, based just down the road in Rimini, will run add green to their livery to create a special colour scheme

Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team duo Alex Lowes and Axel Bassani will run a special livery for the manufacturer’s home round at the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli” as the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship visits Italy. Bimota’s headquarters are just a short drive away in Rimini and, to celebrate their home round, will add green to the top fairing of the KB998 Rimini machine. With the bike already featuring red and white panels, the extra green will help create a ‘tricolore’ effect to reflect the Italian heritage. The riders’ leathers will also feature the special colours.

Discussing the special livery, Pierluigi Marconi, COO of Bimota, stated: “The progress of our WorldSBK racing project goes hand in hand with the continuous development of the Bimota retail range, including the recently announced KB998 Rimini and Tera motorcycles. For existing and new Bimota fans worldwide, we want to proudly display our Italian heritage at Misano, and what better way to reflect that than adopting the green of the Italian flag!”
