Caricasulo and Motozoo Racing Team announce mutual mid-season split
The veteran Italian rider and the Merate-based team to split ways after a year and a half together
Approaching the midway point of the 2025 FIM Supersport World Championship season, ninth-year WorldSSP rider Federico Caricasulo and his Motozoo Me Air Racing Team announce that they will no longer be racing together. The MV Agusta factory-supported team and the rider from Ravenna collaborated for a year and a half before calling it quits, now ahead of the Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round.
The team left it clear that the decision was mutual as both parties want to pursue different paths, and that Motozoo ME Air Racing Team will remain in the Championship. Team Manager Fabio Uccelli said, “We sincerely thank Federico for his dedication, professionalism, and the achievements we reached together. He has been a reference point for us and played a crucial role in the technical and sporting growth of the team. We wish him all the best for the future, both on and off the track.”
During their time together, with Caricasulo as their rider, the team achieved milestones such as their first WorldSSP pole position and their first podium, earned last season. Last season, Caricasulo finished in seventh place in the Riders’ Championship, a very strong campaign in which he landed a pair of fastest laps and finished in the top five seven times.
In their official press release, Motozoo Racing Team said, “Motozoo ME Air Racing Team now continues its path in the World Supersport Championship with renewed determination, driven by the experience gained and the ambition to keep growing among the top contenders of the category. The name of the rider who will replace Federico Caricasulo will be announced in the coming days. The new team member will join starting from Misano.”
