The Japanese rookie has been declared unfit after a testing crash at Navarra last week left him with a fractured finger

The 2021 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship has arrived at Donington Park in the United Kingdom for the Prosecco DOC UK Round, but it is bad news for Kohta Nozane (GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team), who has been declared unfit for the remainder of the event. The Japanese rookie suffered a testing crash at the Circuito Navarra just last week in Los Arcos, and despite completing a handful of laps in FP1 on Friday morning in the UK, has been ruled out of further participation this weekend.

The Japanese rider came into the Championship in 2021 and made an instant impact with a top ten in just his second ever race and has finished every race – with all but two being points-scoring rides. The testing crash at Navarra ruled him out of any further action there, as he suffered a hairline fracture to his right-hand’s middle finger.
