The Kawasaki rider had a crash in FP3, and he sustained a shoulder injury, ruling him out for the rest of the round

The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship grid will be down another rider when the Tissot Superpole session and racing get underway at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit, with Alex Lowes (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) declared unfit with a right acromioclavicular joint separation. Due to this injury, the British rider will not take part in any further sessions after he sustained it during a Free Practice 3 crash.

Lowes had shown some strong pace in the two Friday practice sessions, finishing seventh in the combined classification, half-a-second down on the fastest time of the day. During FP3, Lowes crashed at Turn 16, the penultimate corner of the circuit, where he sustained the injury and he will take no further part in the Pirelli Indonesian Round.
