Lucas Mahias and Jonas Folger have both been declared unfit following their respective crashes in Race 1

Both Lucas Mahias (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) and Jonas Folger (Bonovo MGM Action) will sit out of Sunday’s action at the TT Circuit Assen for the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship after being declared unfit during the Prosecco DOC Dutch Round following their respective crashes in Race 1 at the iconic venue on Saturday.

Mahias had a high-speed crash at Turn 15 on Lap 13 on his Kawasaki ZX-10RR which forced the Frenchman to retire from the race. Following the crash, he was taken to the medical centre for a check-up where he was diagnosed with a left scaphoid fracture. Kawasaki Puccetti Racing have confirmed the French rider is returning to France to undergo surgery on the injury.

Folger crashed at Turn 7 in Race 1 which brought out the Red Flags, with the German rider also taken to the medical centre for a check-up following the crash. Folger was conscious and was transferred to Assen Hospital for further assessments where he was diagnosed with multiple contusions to his back and concussion.
