WorldSBK stars team-up against COVID-19 with special helmet initiative
Some WorldSBK riders will collaborate for the Racing Colours Against The Virus campaign, as a new one-off helmet will be ready to raise money for charity
Some of the 2020 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship riders will be part of Aldo Drudi’s Racing Colours Against The Virus campaign, where riders from across the World Superbike and MotoGP™ paddocks will be active in taking part. ‘Drudi’ has been a part of motorcycle racing helmet design for many years, working closely with Jonathan Rea and Valentino Rossi amongst others.
From the star-studded Drudi Performance Riders United list, the most successful rider in the WorldSBK history, Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) and former WorldSBK runner-up Leon Haslam (Team HRC) will be participating. Both have been working with Drudi throughout their career, with Drudi himself being behind Jonathan Rea’s special Australian round helmet.
The special one-off helmet will be revealed to the public in a prize draw, where all you have to do is donate €5, with all money raised going to the Italian Red Cross. Italy has been one of the hardest hit countries with the COVID-19 outbreak and with such a huge Italian presence in motorsport, Drudi’s support and influence will intensify the fight against coronavirus.
