The World Superbike Championship was blown wide open in Race 1 as rookie Scott Redding crashed out of contention whilst in the battle for the podium

The 2020 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship is lurching from one dynamic to another and the title race has gone into overdrive as the drama and excitement continue to shape the standings. Race 1 may have gone to Michael Ruben Rinaldi (Team GOELEVEN) ahead of Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK) but the other big news was that Scott Redding (ARUBA.IT Racing – Ducati) crashed out of his first race all year, seeing him drop to 30 points back in the race for the title.
