Tommy Bridewell’s strong performances at Imola have earnt him a slot on the Jerez grid for the Acerbis Spanish Round!

After his strong performance at Imola, Tommy Bridewell will return to the WorldSBK grid at Jerez, in place of Eugene Laverty at Team Goeleven. The British rider, who scored points in the opening race of the weekend at the historic Italian venue, will be looking to continue his development aboard the Ducati Panigale V4 R and make strong progress during a first full weekend aboard the machine.

Bridewell’s experience on the Ducati Panigale V4 R is extremely valuable, as the 30-year-old has been achieving good results in the British Superbike championship, where he is currently second in the championship. Two 11th-place finishes at Imola stand him in a good position ahead of the Acerbis Spanish Round at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto, which in-turn makes a return to the WorldSBK calendar.

Speaking ahead of his second WorldSBK round this season, Bridewell stated: “I’m very happy and excited to get another outing on the WorldSBK stage. In Imola it was very rushed, and we did a good job with the time we had but now for Jerez I expect to be stronger. We have been working very hard to understand this new Ducati Panigale V4 R and I feel great on the bike so once I re-adapt to the Factory electronics we can start to push hard."
