Finnish rider feeling positive with new team for 2018

Making the switch to CIA Landlord Insurance Honda for 2018, Niki Tuuli is looking forward to putting up a strong fight in the FIM Supersport World Championship, as he completes a positive two day test in Spain.

A mixed 2017 saw Tuuli secure two podium position finishes and one win in the highly competitive class, but he often struggled with consistency. Now beginning to work well with his new team, the 22 year old is feeling very happy with the feeling on his CBR600R. Explaining he is lapping 0.7s faster than his previous pace around the Circuito de Jerez, Tuuli has enjoyed the two days on his new bike, putting him in both a strong mental and physical position for the season opener.

Tuuli explains: “I think this was an even better test than in Portimão because we tested a lot of different things.  I think I learned a lot, how to ride the bike and when we make a change I can feel what the bike is doing.  I’m really happy about the last set that I rode because it was 0.7s faster than I have ever ridden here and this is only my fourth day.  I like to ride this bike a lot and I think even more that it fits me better.  I am really happy how the team works, how the bike works and with the lap times!  I am really looking forward to going to Australia and starting our season together.”
