Estonian Soomer (Auto24 Ring) had been leading the Donington race when he ran off track, eventually recovering to sixth place, but losing the Championship lead to race winner Spain's Mika Perez (Granshagen Racing Team). Today Perez was edged from a front row star by local favourite Giuseppe De Gruttola (SK-Racing Team) with France's Dorian Laville (Team LAVILLE Mi&Do) continuing his run of strong qualifying performances to claim second position on the grid.  Avalon Biddle (Avalon Biddle Racing) heads qualifying in the FIM Europe Women's European Cup, setting P13 overall despite a crash late in the session.
