The American aims to achieve crown with Italian marque

MV Agusta Reparto Corse announced today its new WorldSSP signing, Patrick “PJ” Jacobsen. The 23 year old from Montgomery, New York, will compete on the MV Agusta F3 675 in the 2017 World Supersport season.

After only three full seasons in the Championship, Jacobsen has amassed 13 podiums, finishing runner up in 2015 and fourth overall this year. Both Jacobsen and his new team are hoping for frequent podium finishes next year and look to fight for the Championship.

"I'm really looking forward to this new adventure with MV Agusta,” commented Jacobsen. “To join the Italian manufacturer is a privilege. Already having a test on the bike in Jerez, I felt really comfortable on the bike after a few sessions. I'm really looking forward to next year with MV and seeing what we can accomplish together. I'm excited to get to some more tests on the bike and then I’ll be ready to go for Round 1. Thanks to MV Agusta for this opportunity.”

PJ Jacobsen will be back on the MV once again at preseason testing set to begin in January, where the American rider will work on the development he started at Jerez last week, before the 2017 season gets underway at Phillip Island in February.
