Former STK1000 Rider Christoffer Bergman in at CIA Landlord Insurance Honda
Swede to replace Stapleford
26-year-old Christoffer Bergman will complete the CIA Landlord Insurance Honda four rider line up for the rest of the 2016 World Supersport season, commencing with Round 4 at Assen this weekend. Bergman has a wealth of experience, in both STK1000 and as development rider in the racing department at Öhlins suspension since 2012, and the team are confident he will prove a great asset to their WorldSSP season.
“I was quite certain I wouldn’t race this season because of some things happening over the winter so I was very happy to hear about this opening for me, even more excited when we could close the deal to race with CIA Landlord Insurance Honda,” said Bergman. “I strongly believe I can be fighting high up once I get a good feeling and understanding for the bike.”
“I am happy to welcome Christoffer to the team,” added Simon Buckmaster, CIA Landlord Insurance Honda Team Manager. “He will be a great asset to the whole team with his Öhlins development knowledge and I am sure he will show his potential in the World Supersport Championship. It is never easy coming into a championship during the season but Chris is an experienced rider who I am sure will rise to the challenge.”
All four CIA Landlord Insurance Honda riders will be back on track in the Netherlands on the 15th-17th of April as WorldSSP heads to the legendary TT Circuit Assen.
