Toprak Razgatlıoglu not planning to miss Spain after training accident.

New Superstock 600 Champion Toprak Razgatlioglu will head to Jerez next week to take part in his penultimate race of the season, despite a training accident in late August which resulted in a broken left collarbone.

The Turkish rider was training in his home country with friend and mentor Kenan Sofuoglu when the incident occurred.

“Toprak crashed when we were training with our Kawasaki 250SL bikes at my KNN54 circuit,” Sofuoglu, three times a World Supersport Champion and the current championship leader, explains to WorldSBK.com.

“He is fine and getting healthier. It will be no problem for the Jerez race. The accident happened at the end of August (Sofuoglu revealed the incident via Twitter on Monday 31 August). As always, he is very keen to race!”

18-year-old Razgatlioglu has dominated this year’s Superstock 600 title race and clinched the crown at Misano. He has won every race except the latest one, with a stunning 100% podium finish rate. For 2016, he will step up to the Superstock 1000 class.
