It was a dramatic PATA European Junior Cup race at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, in which champion elect Javier Orellana (Europ Foods) and Emanuele Pusceddu (SK & Itaba) crashed out while dicing for the lead on the final lap.

Birthday boy Giuseppe de Gruttola (SK & Itaba Moto), who was in the leading group claimed the win ahead of his compatriot Alfonso Coppola (Chiodo Moto Racing), the pair crossing the line almost together.

French youngster Guillaume Raymond (Activbike) took the final place on the podium.

4^th went to Paolo Grassia (MVR Racing Team) with Hannes Soomer (Lub Line Auto24Racing) and Dorian Laville (Team Laville Mi&Do) completing the top 6.

In the championship Orellana now holds a 34 point advantage over Raymond with two rounds remaining. 7^th in Jerez next time out will be good enough to give him the title.
