Camier sure Cuzari involvement will lift MV

‘More has been done this off-season than for the whole of last year.’

Leon Camier firmly believes the involvement of Giovanni Cuzari and his Forward Racing operation will have a very positive impact on MV Agusta’s WorldSBK operation. Since the end of the 2015 season, it has been confirmed that Forward will be collaborating with MV Agusta Reparto Corse which could run a second bike.

“There’s a lot of changes going on with Cuzari coming to the team,” explains Camier, who for 2015 took over from Claudio Corti as MV’s sole rider in WorldSBK. “For one, a lot of staff changes. I think a bit of a different budget will come in as well, which could help things for sure.

“From a technical side, I think there are a lot more opportunities with him (Cuzari) coming in; different staff and more opportunities for other people to develop stuff. I’m pretty positive there will be a good improvement for next year. From what I hear, there is so much more work being done in this off-season than what there was throughout the whole of last year.

“I am quite looking forward to getting testing at the beginning of next year. For the Jerez test next week, not so many big differences are going to come. There is one vital thing we are hoping to happen there, but for next year there should be a lot more changes.”

During this off-season there has also been talk of a second MV Agusta rider as team-mate to Camier. One name connected to this is Marco Melandri, as the Italian is set to test with the squad, although no announcements have been made as yet.
