The British rider tragically passed away at the TT Isle of Man.

It is with regret and sadness that the World Superbike community has learned of the passing of Karl Harris.

The 34-year old from Sheffield, UK, who was the winner of the first ever European Superstock 1000cc Championship, was competing in Tuesday's Superstock TT on the Isle of Man and tragically lost his life on the second lap of the race. He made his debut at the Isle of Man TT in 2012, and he is the second rider to pass away in this edition, one day after Bob Price in the Supersport race.

Following his 1999 championship win, Karl went on to compete in many World Supersport races with a best finish of 4th in Germany before forging a successful career in British Supersport and Superbike championships.

At this sad time the WSBK paddock join with racing supporters around the world in offering its condolences to Karl's family and friends.
