New signing for Aprilia Racing Team happy of the progress made on both sides

Former 250 World Champion Marco Melandri continues his work on getting familiar with the RSV4 factory as the WSBK season opener at Phillip Island approaches. Meanwhile, the 31 year old Italian is still recuperating from an ankle surgery he underwent last November that still bothers him a little.

“We are mainly working on the electronics to improve engine strategy” said Marco Melandri “and power delivery but I still have to fully understand the bike. We need to make some more adjustments but we will know what to do during the season. Once in Australia we will focus only on the race, Phillip Island is one of the best tracks for me as I won there in 125, 250 and MotoGP. I only miss victory in WSBK, my best result has been so far a second place in 2012.”
