Marco Faccani (San Carlo Team Italia Kawasaki) shone in front of his home crowd at Imola, as he dominated the third round of the FIM Europe Superstock 600 Championship by scoring pole position, race win, new lap record for the class and leading the race from lights to flag.

Thanks to his second win of the season out of three races, the 19 year old from Ravenna (located about 50km from Imola) now lies second in the standings, only 2 points shy of leader Niki Tuuli (Kallio Racing Team Yamaha), who crossed the line in second place last Saturday at Imola.

Marco Faccani: “It was a perfect race, it’s fantastic to win this way after such a racing weekend! I tried to pull away in the first three laps and once I had a comfortable lead, I did not take any risk and tried to manage the gap I had. As soon as I saw my rivals getting closer, I started pushing again to keep them away from me. I’m so happy, I couldn’t have asked for more and I would like to thank my team, the bike was working really well.”
