Alfa Romeo takes Jorge Lorenzo to WSBK
Named Alfa Romeo fan of the year, the Spaniard will debut in WSBK in a new role
Multiple time MotoGP World Championship Jorge Lorenzo has been chosen as the face of the Alfa Romeo brand for 2014. A winning combination of one of the most well-known and appreciated racers at international level and the brand with a century of history - that superbly expresses Italian style and motoring experience together with a unique, winning spirit made of challenges and competition.
The Spanish racer will also drive the Alfa Romeo 4C on some circuits of the 2014 eni FIM Superbike World Championship. The Italian supercar was recently named Safety Car and Official Car of the thrilling championship, a role that it will perform together with the Quadrifoglio Verde versions of the MiTo and Giulietta.
With the current season, Alfa Romeo is crossing the finish line of the seventh year in a row of partnership: the brand has taken part in the Championship since 2007 – as Top Sponsor, Safety Car and Official Car – sharing the same values of sportsmanship, technology and safety at the highest levels.
