Michael Ruben Rinaldi makes his way into racing
Our friends of eni FIM Superbike World Championship should remember about the project, started in 2011, called "SBK FUN&SAFE - Race on the track, not on the road". The initiative was devised by the SBK Organization together with the "Gregorio FUN&SAFE No-profit Association, Pirelli and Alfa Romeo: the Top Sponsors" support allowed a young and promising rider to carry on with his motorcycle racing career.
The grant support was given to the Italian Michael Ruben Rinaldi, who was selected by the FMI (Italian Motorcycling Federation) after winning the Italian Sport Production Cup title. The picture captures the moment of awarding, that took place on September 24th 2011 by the hands of Chantal Montanarella, President of the No-profit Association, in presence of the two Top Sponsors' representatives and the FMI President as well.
Michael Ruben Rinaldi successfully contested the Italian Moto3 2012 season with the Team Italia Gabrielli, ending up the season in fifth position with two podium finishes (third place at Imola and Misano). The youngster from Rimini made also his Moto3 World Championship debut, as wildcard, in Mugello's Gran Prix of Italy.
2013 will see Rinaldi competing once again in the Italian series, this time with the Mahindra Racing Team. We wish Michael Ruben Rinaldi all the best for the new season!
The hard work and commitment of Gregorio FUN&SAFE No-profit Association continues: following the dramatic events of the earthquake in the Italian region of Emilia, up to today, fundraising have been made with the goal of making safe few corners of some of the most dangerous roads in Italy.
