Fraser Rogers to make WSS debut at Jerez

Fraser Rogers will contest his first-ever World Supersport round this weekend at Jerez. The 17 year old from Chippenham, England, will race for the Czech-based Complus SMS Racing Team Honda. Rogers had a three-year experience in the Spanish Championship (CEV), along with a wildcard in the Moto3 World Championship at Silverstone in 2012. Rogers also tackled the WSBK British Round this year, as wildcard in the Pata European Junior Cup, powered by Honda.

"I am very pleased to have this opportunity to start working with the Complus SMS Racing Team" said Fraser Rogers "it will be a big challenge to ride a World Supersport bike for the first time. I know Jerez very well, after three years experience in the Spanish Championship and I'm glad to make my debut there, because I can concentrate on getting to grips with the bike and the team. The track is quite fast and flowing, with some tighter corners so it has a mixture of everything. It also has a lot of grip in both wet or dry conditions so it doesn't matter to me what weather we'll encounter."

Rogers is aware that it will not be an easy challenge for him, but he knows the team has no expectations for his World Supersport debut, that hopefully will be a first taste of a full-time ride for 2014. "There is no pressure on me from the team, so we will just have to see what happens and enjoy this weekend! I also hope to try and sort a deal for the 2014 season."
