Team Italia returns to Superstock 1000 and 600
In the various production-based categories, Team Italia will be present with 20-year-old Danilo Petrucci in the CIV Italian domestic series and in the Superstock 1000 FIM Cup with a Barni Racing Ducati, while 18-year-old Riccardo Russo will take part in CIV and the European Superstock 600 Championship on a Team Trasimeno Yamaha.
The young Italians will be followed in this venture by Cristiano Migliorati, former Supersport rider and now Team Italia manager, who will make available his technical, sporting and professional experience.
"This is a major effort on our part," commented FMI (Italian Motorcycling Federation) President, Paolo Sesti, "one that demonstrates how the Federation wants to make up the ‘gap' that separates us from a return to the winning tradition that has distinguished us for the last 100 years ...".
