Lascorz looks westwards to get back on top
The official Kawasaki Motocard.com rider, winner of the Valencia race this year, lost the championship lead he had held since round three and is now third overall after the Kyalami race. Such is the nature of the Supersport championship this year, however, that he is only five points off the lead with seven rounds to go - almost nothing in it between Kenan Sofuoglu, Eugene Laverty and Lascorz at close to the halfway point of the year.
After simply not being able to find the chassis set-up he needed to compete in South Africa, Lascorz hopes he has got his worst weekend out of the way, and that the next race can get him back into podium contention. He stated, "I am not satisfied with this finish and we lost some points but we knew that this track would be one of the worst ones for us; we saw that last year was very hard. We have to keep working and we will be fighting with them next time in America."
