Lanzi back in the SBK fold again for DFX
"I am grateful for Daniele Carli and DFX Corse for this project, which will see me racing as sole rider of the team, in the 2010 Superbike World Championship" declared Lanzi. "Last year I only did a few races with them but I could see that the team was a professional one. The knowledge that I am taking part in the entire championship allows me to tackle this commitment with the right frame of mind as well as with a desire to re-emerge once again. I am sure I still have something to show at an international level and on the DFX Corse Ducati 1098R I've got another chance, maybe the last one, to show what I am capable of. A big thanks to everyone who made this possible and now I leave for Australia fully motivated."
A factory rider for Ducati Xerox in 2006 and 2007, Lanzi was not able to be a true championship challenger, but as his win at Valencia in 2008 on a privateer RG Ducati proved he is still a more than capable rider in this class. Last year he replaced the injured Regis Laconi in the DFX Ducati team for a time.
