Brookes comes in for Parkes at Phillip Island
Australian Joshua Brookes will race for the Echo CRS Honda team in the opening round of the Superbike World Championship at Phillip Island in place of Broc Parkes who broke his right leg in training. Brookes in under contract with Honda UK to race this year's British Superbike championship.


In 2004 the rider from Sydney won the Supersport race at Phillip Island as a wild-card entrant for the local Honda importers. He also has 29 starts to his name in World Superbike, having raced for two full seasons with a Honda CBR-RR in 2006 and 2007.


Brookes, who finished fourth in the 2009 BSB championship with the factory Honda, will take part in the final pre-season test session at Phillip Island this coming Sunday and Monday.
