Racing comeback a success for Tommy Hill
After the most challenging period of his career, Tommy Hill (Hannspree Honda Althea) returned to action for his Italian based squad at the Phillip Island race last weekend. A cycle of serious injury and recovery and then injury again would have dented the resolve of many a rider but even though he was facing a genuine challenge at Phillip Island - his full-time WSB debut in the potentially toughest season there has ever been - Hill not only qualified for Superpole but went on to secured two points scoring finishes in each WSB race.

Said Hill of his weekend's exploits: "This was my first race back since 2007 and I'm pretty happy with fourteenth position in each race. The second race was even harder than the first one. After two-thirds of the race I was doing everything I could to reach Carlos Checa but it was really not possible, as when I pushed harder I made a couple of small mistakes. Anyway it was a consistent start to the season and I'm happy with my results. With the help of my technicians, we'll be more competitive in the next race at Qatar."
