The MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship heads to MotorLand Aragon for the tenth round of the 2025 season, as the battle for the title intensifies. Toprak Razgatlioglu (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) heads into the Tissot Aragon round on the back of four consecutive hat tricks, but it's a track where he's never won. "El Turco" will face Ducati's unbeaten streak at the Spanish circuit, and for either series to continue, one of them will have to give way...

RECORDS ARE HERE TO BE BROKEN: Two winning streaks face each other

Razgatlioglu can end his current winning streak with a victory in Race 1 at Aragon. "El Turco" currently has 12 wins to his name, compared to a record 13 – and this would give the two-time champion his first victory in Aragon. However, he faces the challenge of ending Ducati's unbeaten run at Aragon: the Italian manufacturer has won the last eight races at the Spanish circuit, a record streak for the track, and Nicolo Bulega (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) hopes to extend that streak to nine consecutive victories. Like his rival, he is yet to win at Aragon, and both believe now is the perfect time to change that statistic. Of course, 2024 winners Andrea Iannone (Team Pata GoEleven) and Alvaro Bautista (Aruba.it Racing - Ducati) will also be keen to get in on the action. Will they find their form at this crucial point in the season?

PETRUCCI ADVANTAGE: “Petrux” leads the fight for third place and many riders in top form are

Im Kampf um Platz 3 führt Danilo Petrucci (Barni Spark Racing Team) derzeit vor Andrea Locatelli (Pata Maxus Yamaha) und Bautista, wobei nur 30 Punkte zwischen den Dreien liegen. „Petrux” stand in Aragon noch nie auf dem Podium, ebenso wenig wie „Loka”. Könnte dies also die Gelegenheit sein, die Bautista braucht, um den Kampf um Platz 3 noch spannender zu machen? Die Nummer 19 ist mit 11 Podiumsplätzen ein Dauerbrenner in Aragon, was ihm an diesem Wochenende zugutekommen könnte. Ein Fahrer, der zuletzt in guter Form war, ist Alex Lowes (Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) mit drei Podiumsplätzen in Magny-Cours. Die Nummer 22 wird versuchen, diese Serie auf einer Strecke fortzusetzen, auf der er bisher gut abgeschnitten hat: Seit 2017 hat er dort kein Rennen außerhalb der Top Ten beendet. Sein Bruder Sam Lowes (ELF Marc VDS Racing Team) zeigte in Frankreich ein gutes Tempo, erzielte aber nicht die gewünschten Ergebnisse. Kann die Nummer 14, die hier bereits zweimal in der Moto2 gewonnen hat, in Aragon wieder aufholen? Jonathan Rea (Pata Maxus Yamaha) kämpfte in Magny-Cours um das Podium und hofft, dies in Aragon wiederholen zu können, einer Rennstrecke, auf der er schon so viele Erfolge gefeiert hat, während Remy Gardner (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) hofft, mit einem starken Ergebnis in die Top Ten der Gesamtwertung vorstoßen zu können.

UNGEWISSE ZUKUNFT: Kann Aragon eine Plattform bieten, um sich einen Platz zu sichern?

Xavi Vierge (Honda HRC) hat sich einen Vorsprung vor seinen nächsten Konkurrenten verschafft und liegt auf Platz 8 der Gesamtwertung. Aragon ist eine Strecke, auf der er mit acht Top-Ten-Platzierungen in neun Rennen in Spanien gut abgeschnitten hat. Natürlich kämpft die Nummer 97 um seine Zukunft in der WorldSBK, nachdem bekannt wurde, dass er Honda HRC am Ende der Saison verlassen wird. Ein kürzlich durchgeführter Test in Jerez war für Vierge ein Schritt nach vorne, da ein neues Schwingenteil Teil des Testprogramms war. Dominique Aegerter (GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team) ist ein weiterer Fahrer, der auf der Suche nach einem Platz für 2026 ist, und er hofft, dass er in Aragon gut abschneiden kann. Er hat bisher nur eine Runde in der WorldSBK in Aragon absolviert und dabei als bestes Ergebnis einen 12. Allerdings hat er auf der spanischen Rennstrecke bereits einen Sieg in der WorldSSP errungen. Aegerter liegt in der Gesamtwertung 30 Punkte hinter Vierge, beide befinden sich unter den Top Ten. Axel Bassani (bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team) trennt das Duo, und „El Bocia” hofft, dass er zu seiner Bestform zurückfinden kann, um die Saison 2025 stilvoll zu beenden, aber seine Zukunft ist bereits gesichert.

ZIEL IST ES, DIE FORM BEIZUBEHALTEN: Wird Aragon ein gutes Pflaster sein?

Michael van der Mark (ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team) and Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki WorldSBK Team) both had strong races in France, battling comfortably in the top ten. Both will hope to repeat this in Aragon. Gerloff has two podium finishes here, one of three he has achieved overall, while van der Mark has a single podium finish. Tarran Mackenzie will continue to compete with MGM BONOVO Action on their Ducati Panigale V4 R, while rookies Yari Montella (Barni Spark Racing Team) and Ryan Vickers (Motocorsa Racing) will hope to bounce back from their difficult races in France. In contrast, Bahattin Sofuoglu (Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team) achieved his best result in France, finishing in the top ten for the first time. The young Turkish rider will now be looking to maintain this form. His teammate Michael Rinaldi also achieved his best result of the season at the last race. Zaqhwan Zaidi (PETRONAS MIE Honda Racing Team) travels to Spain after scoring his first point in WorldSBK, while his teammate Tito Rabat will be aiming for points on home soil.

SUBSTITUTION: Bridewell replaces Lecuona

Tommy Bridewell returns to WorldSBK as a reserve rider at Aragon, replacing Iker Lecuona at Honda HRC. This will be the Briton's second outing of the season, having recently participated in the Aragon test as part of his test rider commitments with Honda.
